About First Edition

I spend my days immersed in contemporary art — looking, reading, and, honestly, obsessing — so you don’t have to. What started as a monthly newsletter to share my thoughts has become my favorite space to highlight art that has caught my eye and offer insights shaped by my many years in the art world.

About Bronwyn & Shortly Contemporary

With over a decade of experience at leading art institutions, including Christie’s Auction House, Kasmin Gallery, and Winston Art Group, alongside independent advisory work, Bronwyn brings deep industry expertise to collectors at all levels. She has managed all aspects of sales, acquisitions, and collection management for private clients and has advised major international firms on significant acquisition projects. Additionally, she has consulted for technology companies seeking to integrate with the traditional art market and served as Vice President at both a marketplace and insights platform.

She specializes in discovering emerging artists, bringing new collectors into the fold, and bridging the gap between the art market and cutting-edge technology.

Bronwyn holds an M.A. Art, Law, & Business from Christie’s Education, New York, and a B.A. (Hons.) in Art History from Queen’s University, Kingston, ON. She currently sits on the Curatorial Committee for Art Gems, Advisory Committee for The Power Plant’s “Power Ball” Gala, and is a Canadian American Relations Young Council Member.
